Living is hard. Deciding to seek a therapist is hard.
My goal is to help make things easier by creating a safe space for contemplation and natural
movement through those hard times. I join you on your journey, moving at a pace you are most comfortable with.

I bring a deep commitment of mindfulness to my work. I will encourage you to explore and accept all aspects of yourself, shining light within and opening your heart to true happiness.

Meet Christina Forde

Christina Forde, LPCC

Christina Forde is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). In 2004, she graduated from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM with a Masters in Counseling,  Certificate in School Counseling, and Certificate in Grief and Loss. For close to 15 years, she has been counseling children, adolescents, and their families in Albuquerque. Christina has experience counseling in residential, day, and outpatient treatment centers. Since 2012, she has provided counseling services in the schools and office locations.

Christina encourages clients to share of themselves, and increase awareness of unwanted thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, using Mindful-Based Cognitive Therapy and other restorative techniques to address a client’s unique needs. First and foremost, she believes the deep, authentic relationship between herself and the client is crucial to begin healing. She offers unconditional support, drawing from humanistic and existential counseling theories, and a big dose of humor to encourage clients to feel total acceptance.

Christina lives in Albuquerque with her family, roller-skates as often as possible, and looks for any opportunity to laugh hard.
